Brian and Jasmine [engaged!]

She walked up in a green dress, her hair and make-up done and I sighed in relief. I love when my clients go all out for their engagement sessions! She looked stunning and their outfits coordinated perfectly... it was such a joy to capture a gorgeous couple like Brian and Jasmine!

So when I told Jasmine to bring it... she definitely brought it!

Cuteness like this need not be directed!

Umm, hi, amazing much!? God definitely blessed these two with amazing eyes.

Throughout the shoot, Jasmine exuded adoration for her man... and Brian kept saying how "hot" she was!

Look at the right above, Brian is giving me the "what did I get myself into look"... haha.

Thank you guys for making my day wonderful! I had a blast shooting you two!

[Layla] 3 months

I photographed Layla's newborn session when she was just 8 days old and I can't believe it's been three months already! She gave me so many smiles during our session I just fell completely in love with her. Typically, babies don't start smiling this much until they're about 5 or 6 months old but it was very fun getting them out of her! I can't wait until our next milestone session when she'll be sitting up on her own!

[Brielle] Mini Halloweenie Session

For the month of October, I introduced Halloween Mini Sessions for my clients. The package includes a 30 minute session at the location of their choice, 10 Hi Res, Hand-edited images on CD, and a 5x7 of their favorite for only $50. When I saw that Brielle's costume was irresistibly cute, I had to try out one of these sessions on her! She was such a trooper as we dressed her up and toted her around her family's large property. She must have thought we were crazy putting her in this but now she'll never forget the day we made her dress up as an owl!!!

[expecting] Raelena and Oscar

It was a blazing hot summer day and the three of us piled into Oscar’s blue 1967 Mustang with no air conditioning. With the windows down, Raelena tried not to mess up her perfect curls as we drove up the hill to downtown Julian. I sat in the back, controlling the pink balloons we were eager to use in our session. During our drive, I learned that Raelena and Oscar met each other unexpectedly while out with some friends…Oscar has a hat for every outfit that he owns, Raelena works with children at a daycare center, and they both love house music and even admitted to fist-pumping Jersey Shore style. Maybe they’ll even teach their baby girl how to dance like Mommy and Daddy do!
Of course, before the session began, we had to fill our bellies with old-fashioned grub. We ate hamburgers and french fries with milkshakes and phosphates. Oscar is still confused about the difference between a regular coke and coke flavored phosphate. Even though Julian is known for their pies and Raelena has never had one before, we couldn’t bring ourselves to eat any-we were just too full!
As soon as we started shooting, the day went by so fast! We were literally racing the sun! It was so fun bringing out the model in each of them and as the sun set to the sound of the muscle engine at the end of the day, I think we all knew we got some fabulous shots!
Oscar and Raelena, thank you for letting me be a part of this special stage of your lives. I pray that God blesses your family and your daughter who, by the looks of you two, is going be absolutely gorgeous! I can’t wait to meet her!
