Danielle and Kreg are so excited to give their daughter, Adison, a brand new baby brother. He's due in September and they've chosen to name him Cody... I must admit, I'm so excited to meet him! If he looks anything like Adison, I just know he's going to be one cute little boy!! Here are some previews from our maternity session this weekend!

The Wilson [Family] San Diego Portrait Photographer

Two years ago, I set off on a new adventure and started pursuing portrait photography. Before this, I spent most of my time photographing landscapes, flowers, and anything inanimate. So when my friend from work mentioned her sister just had a baby, I jumped on the opportunity to practice. Caden was my first newborn session and so when I look at him in these photographs I think two things. One, I think "Man, he is so big already!" I can't believe he can walk and talk! Second, I think how much my photography has grown. So this session definitely has a special place in my heart and Caden is truly a symbol of growth not just in himself but in my business as well! Introducing, the Wilson family!!

Can you believe his blue eyes? They are just breathtaking!!

Caden's favorite activity of the day? Not smiling for the camera, but throwing rocks into the pond! He was determined to throw every rock in the park and he was aiming for the turtles!

So precious!!

Genuine smiles are the best and Caden's just lights up his whole face!

Lauren [Boudoir After Shoot] Old Town, CA

Lauren contacted me because she wanted to create beautiful boudoir images for her husband, Mitch, as a gift for Father's Day. We created a gorgeous wall calendar that showcased 16 different images from our shoot. All "for his eyes only"! Here is one of the images from the boudoir portion of our day. Doesn't she look stunning!? She was dolled up by Sarah Cullado and we couldn't have been happier with the results. I'm sure Mitch would agree as well!

After capturing Lauren's beauty au natural... we headed to Old Town for a traditional portrait session. As we lugged around a suitcase on the dirt road, I realized I had made a friend. Anyone that knows Lauren, will tell you she has one of the kindest hearts in the world and we had so much fun getting to know each other.

That is probably why I was so happy to see these two at Sarah and Kory's Wedding a couple of weeks ago! It is obvious that they adore each other by the love and respect they show each other and look at them dancing on the floor together... priceless!!

The Bolton [Family] Oceanside, CA

I spent the morning with this family and I left smiling because of their fun, quirky, welcoming personalities! First of all, I got to call dad "Fred" because he told me it was his name even though it wasn't and they fed me mango cheesecake and sprite after we were done. It was perfect. Fred has a very dry sense of humor which is my favorite and he made me laugh until my stomach hurt. Tyler was home from college so they really wanted pictures of everyone together while he was there and they also hadn't taken family pictures in almost 10 years so it was nice to update their family photo for them. I can't wait to work with them in the future because they were so entertaining and really made my job easy! Meet The Boltons!

Preview: The Wilson [Family] Caden is 2!

Two years ago, I photographed Caden when he was barely 6 weeks old. Now he is an active, independent two-year-old and I barely recognized him! I had the honor of photographing another important milestone in the Wilson family's life this weekend and it was a blessing to see them so happy together! Here is a preview of our session!

Part 2: Kory and Sarah [married!] Magee Park Wedding

I posted Part 1 of this beautiful wedding a couple of days ago and I couldn't wait to post the rest! We ended with this image of the first look, right before Kory and Sarah let go of the balloons and saw each other. Thanks Lisa for this great perspective and for following the balloons!

This shot is one of my favorites from the day! It contains such raw emotion and you can clearly see how much they absolutely adore one another!!
After the first look, I took the couple aside for a few shots around the park. Kory really wanted a picture by this tree since he notices it every time he comes to the beach to surf. You guys are naturals! Really!

Before the ceremony I stole shots of the whole bridal party together. I love the funny ones. I'm still laughing at Sarah's expression behind her bouquet!!

The arch was so beautiful! This picture really doesn't do it justice but if you look closely, there's a lovely chandelier hanging in the middle!
Sarah chose Bethany Hawley Falefitu of Spendid Sentiments for all of the floral design for this event. She did a fabulous job and was such a joy to work with! Everyone was blown away by the bouquet she made and I must say it is one of the prettiest I've ever seen! Sarah attached the locket of her mother that Kory gave to her so she could be with her throughout the entire day!

These trees at the park really pulled together the tree theme for this wedding! I love the image on the right when Sarah was trying to fit Kory's ring on his finger... and then later trying to get it off his finger so I could photograph the rings was pretty priceless.

I don't normally post the family formals in my wedding blogs but I wanted to show these beauties! Kristi Regina on the left did Sarah's makeup and Keli Christenson on the right was the wedding coordinator. But more importantly, they are Sarah's new sisters!!
Following family formals, we headed to the beach to get more shots of the newlyweds! Sarah your elegance and beauty is jaw-dropping!

The details of this wedding were amazing! I adored this photo display and was overjoyed to see some of their engagement photos featured!

Lisa and Ronderick did an amazing job at getting some of the details I didn't have time to shoot! Thank you so much!

My cousin, Jessica, who was the matron of honor, was unexpectedly ordered for bed rest for the remaining of her pregnancy so she was unable to make it to Sarah's wedding. I was so heartbroken for them because they are the best of friends, but she was able to make an appearance during the toasts when Kim read a letter for the both of them.
Kory allegedly "stalked" Sarah at the bank where she used to work. During the best man, Kenny's, speech, he told everyone the story and how that is where he opened a "love account". This is their reaction!

Always my favorite picture, this is my team with the bride and groom. Kory and Sarah, you know how much I love you guys and I had a blast photographing your wedding day! I hope my images will help you remember this amazing milestone in your lives together and I can't wait to be your lifetime photographer! :)
