Preview: Johanna gets baptized! [St. Mary, Star of the Sea] Oceanside, CA

I had the pleasure of photographing a very special day in Johanna's life. It was the day of her baptism and her family was there to celebrate with her on this occasion! The event took place at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church in Oceanside, California and I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to brush up on some of my Spanish! The whole ceremony was conducted in Spanish and I was surprised at how much I knew and how much I didn't know! It's been a long time since I've studied the language but luckily I was able to catch some of it! It was fun and challenging nonetheless! After the baptism, we took a stroll through Oceanside City Hall and took some portraits of Johanna with her family. Then we decided to brave the crowds at the beach and get some images there since Johanna absolutely loves the beach! I had a wonderful time getting to know this family and we had fun chatting as we walked to and from the coast... it was definitely a pleasant afternoon meeting new people and photographing their love for each other!

Jose and Izzy are Johanna's Godparents and are forever a vital and important part of her life!

I love Johanna's smile in this image and you can feel the love as her family looks at her!

Congratulations Johanna! I pray that you remain close to the Lord and trust Him always! This is a beautiful time in your walk with Him and I hope these photographs will help you to never forget it!!

Leila has arrived!! [1st day of life!]

Leila was born at 6:30am this morning after Kerrianne was in labor for exactly 24 hours! She is already a morning person like her mama and punctual at that! It was such a joy to spend the afternoon with the Peukers as they welcomed their new baby girl to the world. I've known Kerrianne for 23 years of my life and she is like a sister to me. So I now have a brand new baby niece who I will cherish and adore for years and years to come! Congratulations Bill and Kerrianne, you both will make incredible parents and I look forward to watching her grow up! I apologize in advance for coming over to see her excessively... I know I'm going to need my Leila fix!! Besides, you're only a minute's walk away... :)

The Newsome Family [maternity] San Diego, CA

Kreg and Danielle are expecting a baby boy next month and I was so honored to photograph them as they await his arrival. His big sister Adison is equally anxious and you can tell in this images how much she already loves her little brother! It was a joy to photograph this family and I love it when dads are especially into it. Kreg was full of ideas and opinions throughout the shoot and that always makes it so much fun! Photographing Danielle was a breeze since she's a stunning mommy-to-be and I honestly can't wait to meet little Cody when I photograph Danielle's sister's wedding next month!!

Adison got these amazing blue eyes from her daddy!

Danielle is effortlessly beautiful and I just pray I am just as pretty when I'm pregnant!

Already a viewers favorite image since I previewed this. I hope Adison and Cody grow up knowing how special this moment is!!

Just a gorgeous family!

These images make me laugh because while I was posing Danielle by herself, Adison decided to take a cruise around my house and came upon my prop room. She found this vintage parasol and so we decided to go with it! She is too adorable!

Preview: Kerrianne's Bare Belly [maternity]

I photographed Kerrianne's maternity session almost two months ago with her husband Bill but we weren't able to get any images of her bare belly during our outdoor session. So we decided to do a few more images of her in the studio to showcase her growth more intimately..This is her at 8 1/2 months of pregnancy... yes, I'm not lying...she's just a tiny prego mama!
